THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY TO THE USE OF THIS WEBSITE. BY ACCESSING THIS WEBSITE AND/OR PLACING AN ORDER, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. 1.0 Payment

You can only pay for your goods using our online Credit Card / Debit Card facility online or make a transfer to the provided bank account. Any other form of payment will not be accepted.

We accept Apple Pay, Visa and MasterCard via our secure online order form only. Credit cards are verified for your protection. None of your personal informations will be stored by Seashell Story.

If you choose to order online, Seashell Story will send, to the address supplied, an automatically generated email to notify that we have received your order. This notice does not guarantee that the order is confirmed or approved.

2.0 Currency 

Currency is in New Zealand dollars and is inclusive of GST.

Prices displayed on this website are subject to change without notice. Prices for items on an order are fixed once your order has been accepted and paid for.

3.0 Foreign Currency Disclaimer

The price advertised might not be the same price charged to the credit card account due to exchange rate fluctuations. This means that because we are based in New Zealand we have to convert your purchase to New Zealand dollars at the exchange rate on the day it is processed.

4.0 Cancelations and Refunds policy

Our cancelations and refunds policy does not override any existing protection you have under New Zealand consumer rights protection or the sale of goods laws.

If you wish to cancel your order:

you can notify us by email to contact@seashellstory.co.nz before we have dispatched the goods to you;

where goods have already been dispatched to you, by returning goods to us in accordance with below.

You can return goods you have ordered from us for any reason at any time within 14 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange. The costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you.

If you receive product that is damaged please keep all the packaging and contact us immediately, we will advise our procedures for return and replacement.

OVERSEAS RETURNS GREATER THAN $1000 : When an order of a value greater than NZD $1000 is returned to us, we are charged an Import Entry Fee of $55.71 by New Zealand Customs. Be mindful that we pass this fee onto yourself as part of the refund process.

5.0  Damaged Goods

If the item purchased get is damaged, please contact us immediately to notify us of the issue. You will need to have your invoice handy.

Except where required by law, you must return damaged goods within 14 days of receipt.The item will then be replaced or refunded.

Unfortunately, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non­-refundable.

6.0 Incorrect Goods

In the unlikely event that there be an error with the picking of your order, or the recipient does not receive the goods intended, please notify us immediately by phone or email. Please note, you will need your invoice handy. We will organise to have the product collected and will send you the correct item at no extra charge.

7.0 Supply of products

Seashell Story holds good stock of all products. We endeavour to maintain sufficient stock levels so that orders are ready for dispatch within 1-2 days of receiving your order. However, if we have insufficient stock of any of your selected products we can generally have replacement stock available within 2-5 days. We will let you know of any such a delay and provide you with the estimated time for obtaining the product or the option of cancelling or choosing an alternative product.

We always make our best endeavours to pack and send your order so it will arrive to you within reasonable time and in good condition. We use reputable carriers who all have their individual delivery methods. At times, delays, loss or damage can occur with deliveries which are outside our control.

 8.0 Limitation of Liability

Seashell Story will not be liable to you for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly in connection with the supply to you of goods and services from our website, except to the extent that such liability is not lawfully excluded under the applicable law.

Seashell Story expressly exclude liability for indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss or damage which may arise as a result of supplying goods or services to you in respect of other equipment or property, for loss of profit, business, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings.

9.0 Colour, texture and size of products

Seashell, fossils and crystals items are products of Nature – so it is important to realise each individual product is unique in its colour, texture and size. We try to meet the requirements of each of our customers and supply a consistent standard of product.

Seashell Story is happy to email the customer with a selection of product, upon the customer request. This way the customer will choose the actual product ready to be shipped. Keep in mind that will delay shipping process.

However, if you are not satisfied with what you have received, please contact us on receipt of your order and we will discuss options with you for return and replacement.

Seashell Story is not responsible for colour discrepancies of product images as they can change depending on conditions outside of our control such as your computer display.

10.0 Import Duties

If shipping overseas, you may be subject to import duties, taxes and customs clearances levied by your country or another overseas authority once a shipment reaches your country, these charges are not included in the price. You should contact your local customs office for further information on applicable duties, taxes, restrictions, and fees.

11.0 Privacy Policies

The personal information you provide us with is used to enable us to communicate with you for the purposes of keeping you informed about new products, special offers & other information we believe will be of interest to you.

We do not share personal details about any of our customers with any third party nor are your details available for anyone to see.

You may update, terminate or edit your membership account at any time.

12.0 Cancellation

Though we will always try our best to supply orders placed and accepted on this website, order placement and acceptance do not constitute an obligation on Seashell Story to supply.

We reserve the right to cancel any order without notice. Our obligations will be limited to protections provided by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. In the event of any canceled order payments will be refunded in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

13.0 Modifications of Terms of Use

Seashell Story reserves the right to modify these terms of use at any time without notice Seashell Story accepts no liability or responsibility as a result of these changes.

14.0 Licence

Unless otherwise stated, the copyright and other intellectual property rights in all material on this Website (including without limitation photographs and graphical images) are owned by us or our licensors. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, any use of extracts from this Website for any purpose is prohibited.
